No complex setup is required. Simply log in using your account credentials (username and password). The first time you launch the app, you will need to follow the standard procedure provided by the Android system for apps with calling functionality.
How are calls charged through the KOMPaaS Softphone app when calling via SIP?
Calls are charged according to the rates of your plan. Please note that additional charges for internet traffic may apply based on the rates of the internet service provider.
What is "Background Mode" and "Push Mode"?
Background Mode: In this mode, the KOMPaaS Softphone app is always running in the background and continuously maintains a connection with the SIP server, exchanging service requests and responses. This mode consumes more resources and is better suited for office use (where a charger is always available) when you need to answer immediately on the "first ring".
Push Mode: In this mode, the app goes into deep sleep, almost unloading from the phone's memory, and doesn't consume system resources, saving battery life. Instead, a "listener" service for Push notifications from the SIP server remains active. When a Push notification arrives, the service "wakes up" the app and you hear the incoming call signal. The wake-up delay can range from 0.5 to 2 seconds from the time the call is sent by the caller (depending on the power of your phone).
